DNA evidence has led to an arrest in connection with a sexual assault that happened nearly a year ago on the Northwest Side. <\/p>\n
Moises Alcantara, 39, of the 4000 block of West Melrose Street, was charged with one count of aggravated criminal sexual assault in connection with the March 20, 2011 attack in the 5100 block of North Keating Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said. <\/p>\n
He allegedly sexually assaulted a female victim at that location, Gaines said, but further details on what happened were not immediately available early Monday. <\/p>\n
He was arrested Saturday after authorities found a match to DNA evidence in the case, Gaines said. <\/p>\n
Alcantara was ordered held on $475,000 bond in a Sunday hearing, according to the Cook County Sheriff\u2019s office. <\/p>\n
