Eastern Dermatology and Pathology will move next year to a new, larger building on Trent Road. <\/p>\n
Construction on a 15,000-square-foot building for the medical practice began in March on the Trent Road site and should be completed by the end of December. <\/p>\n
Bobby Evans, vice president and co-owner of Farrior and Sons, the general contractor on the project, said the building is 50 percent complete and soon electrical and plumbing work will begin. <\/p>\n
Farrior and Sons, out of Farmville, has built several medical facilities and churches in New Bern, including the 73,000-square-foot main medical office of CCHC on Wellons Boulevard and Temple Baptist Church on Kingdom Way. The company is also breaking ground on a 7,000-square-foot expansion to Eastern Nephrology Associations at 970 Newman Road. <\/p>\n
Farrior and Sons is celebrating its 50th anniversary as a general contractor and designer for commercial, light industrial and educational facilities, and does design work for medical offices and churches, Evans said. <\/p>\n
Plans call for a Dec. 31 completion date for the Trent Road project, he said. <\/p>\n
Eastern Dermatology and Pathology needed to expand their practice, Evans said. They needed a larger building. <\/p>\n
Shari Tomlinson, of human resources for Eastern Dermatology and Pathology, said another physician was recently hired and cosmetic services, like laser, botox and filler treatments, will be expanded at the new office site. <\/p>\n
It will allow us to see more patients, Tomlinson said. <\/p>\n
There will be two physicians and a physicians assistant at the new office, she said. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
