FIKES <a href=\"mailto:bfikes@nctimes.com\">bfikes@nctimes.com<\/a><\/a>)<\/span><\/p><div><div><\/div><\/div><div><div><div><span><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Aperio raises $5.5M\" src=\"http:\/\/www.eugenesis.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-o-matic\/cache\/33ea4_4fb5554a3263a.preview-620.jpg\" style=\"padding-left:10px; padding-right: 10px;\"><\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><div><div><ul><\/ul><\/div><div><p><span>5\/17\/12 VISTA (CA) - &nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.aperio.com\/\">Aperio Technologies Inc<\/a>. has raised $5.5 million in debt and security options, according to a&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sec.gov\/Archives\/edgar\/data\/1117100\/000111710012000004\/xslFormDX01\/primary_doc.xml\">filing<\/a>&nbsp;with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sec.gov\" rel=\"homepage\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission\">Securities and Exchange Commission<\/a>.<\/span><\/p><p><span>Aperio's&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/digitalpathologyassociation.org\/\">digital pathology<\/a>&nbsp;products convert patient tissue samples on standard glass slides into digital slides that can be shared over the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Internet\" rel=\"wikipedia\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Internet\">Internet<\/a> for expert analysis, and stored for later re-examination at any time.
