A total of 940 NSCLCs from two independent population-based cohorts containing predominantly adenocarcinomas of the lung and squamous cell lung carcinomas, were assessed by fluorescence in-situ hybridization (FISH) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) to study SOX2 amplification and expression level.
