TIP - Don #39;t Starve
Today I #39;m Playing Don #39;t Starve by Klei Entertainment, the team that brought you Mark of the Ninja and the Shank games. Don #39;t Starve is a survival game with a few rpg and exploration elements thrown in. It #39;s got a really cool art style and a quirky sense of humour running through it. My first impressions here were pretty positive though I #39;m not sure how much longevity the game will have. Similarly to Minecraft, the game sees you collecting resources so that you can survive and craft, but I #39;ve yet to see what the late game draw is since there #39;s no multiplayer or free-form building mechanic. At the moment it seems that you survive simply so that you can carry on surviving. This is my first video for two years and that #39;s for a few reasons. Firstly was that Black Ops was a nightmare to try and get footage for (for technical reasons) and kind of killed my enthusiasm. Secondly, with so much of my time spent as university I didn #39;t have time to really invest in my videos and make my reviews the best they could be. From here on out I aim to upload a variety of content ranging from first impressions (TIP), to montages, features, and late game videos. This is only the second or third time I #39;ve tried live commentary so any feedback would be much appreciated.
