(June 29, 2017) A dust storm descends upon Mars, destroying equipment and disrupting a robots mission in documenting the foreign environment. <\/p>\n
It may sound like the plot of a science-fiction movie, but it actually describes a computer- generated challenge NASA posed to promote interest in robotics and their use in the space program. <\/p>\n
Ninety-two teams, from 13 countries, entered the challenge. <\/p>\n
Only 20 made it to the finals. The only high-school team among them was the Nantucket High School Technology Club. Teacher Jedediyah Williams and 2017 graduate Evan Borzilleri did the lions share of the work in the finals. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
