If some members of the band the Slants are of Asian ancestry and are comfortable with the name for business sake, it is their right. <\/p>\n
Political correctness has gotten out of hand. <\/p>\n
When I hear [Washington] Redskins, I think football. <\/p>\n
However, this is a great reminder for students to study the history books to find out how the name came about as it pertains to Native Americans. <\/p>\n
In my opinion, it is not derogatory. <\/p>\n
It is a word that has been used to describe a part of history. <\/p>\n
The list could go on: <\/p>\n
The Oakland Raiders use the logo of a pirate with a patch over one eye. <\/p>\n
Is this offensive to folks with sight challenges? <\/p>\n
Those who look for fault in everything around them should take time to work in the yard and enjoy the beautiful landscaping nature has provided or volunteer in an organization that assists others in need. <\/p>\n
