Massachusetts is the latest state considering whether to legalize physician-assisted suicide for terminally ill patients, and just over half of Americans support such a law. <\/p>\n
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 51% of American Adults favor allowing voluntary euthanasia in the state where they live. Twenty-nine percent (29%) are opposed to such a law, but a sizable 20% remain undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.) <\/p>\n

The survey of 1,000 American Adults was conducted on June 6-7, 2017 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +\/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted byPulse Opinion Research, LLC. Seemethodology. <\/p>\n
