Geneseos newest retail shop is a mix of vintage, shabby chic and chippy primitives. <\/p>\n
VintageRedheads is located at 101 S.State Street, in the former Geneseo City Hall building. The shop opened to the public on Saturday,March 25. <\/p>\n
Owners Nan and Russ Trahan decided that they were ready to take the step of offering their unique blend of decor in a permanent location. <\/p>\n
We had been doing shows and loved it, but felt we were ready to simplify and consolidate in one location, said Nan.. <\/p>\n
The Trahans have been married for 30 years and are both ordained ministers. They share a passion for the hand-made, authentic and unusual. <\/p>\n
Russ makes many of the pieces here in the store, said Nan. They are all one of a kind. <\/p>\n
In addition to their displays, the Trahans have a master plan for other endeavors. <\/p>\n
Upstairs we are planning vignettes of decades, a meeting room for events and even wedding design and decor services. We are planning to offer couples vintage collections for weddings that will go beyond the ordinary, said Nan. <\/p>\n
Wedding designs will incorporate florals along with period pieces reflecting a couples personal style. <\/p>\n
The Trahans are planning a grand opening on April 8. <\/p>\n
We are so happy to be in this location with the support and encouragement of so many. Our journey continues to be blessed, said Nan. <\/p>\n
