Launched into orbit in 1998, the International Space Station is the largest artificial body in orbit around the Earth. According to NASA.gov, the ISS measures 357 feet end-to-end which is as large as a standard football field. An international partnership of space agencies maintains and operates the ISS. The United States, Russia, Europe, Japan, and Canada have all participate in the upkeep of the station. <\/p>\n
