WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) The Kansas Libertarian Party has nominated Chris Rockhold to replace Mike Pompeos 4th District congressional seat. <\/p>\n
Pompeo has been tabbed by President Donald Trump to run the CIA. <\/p>\n
Rockhold is a flight instructor for FlightSafety. In a 17-3 vote, Rockhold won over former Libertarian presidential candidateGordon Bakken. <\/p>\n
The nominee will join Ron Estes andJames Thompson in a special election for the 4th District seat. <\/p>\n
The election will be on April 11. <\/p>\n
Republicans have represented the district since Todd Tiahrt unseated veteran Democratic Rep. Dan Glickman in 1994. <\/p>\n
