Ted Clugston, the mayor of Medicine Hat, faces impaired driving charges following a Friday morning traffic stop at an undisclosed location. <\/p>\n
According to Medicine Hat Police Chief Andy McGrogan, Clugston has been charged with impaired driving and exceed .08 under the provisions of the Criminal Code. <\/p>\n
Our police officers are out in the community every day doing their best to enforce the law impartially and without favour, said Chief McGrogan in a Sunday morning media release. That is what I expect and that is what the community expects. <\/p>\n

In my review of this matter I can tell you that the officers involved in the arrest and investigation of Mr. Clugston conducted themselves in a way that demonstrated all of those values. <\/p>\n
According to Chief McGrogan, Mayor Clugston was cooperative throughout the investigation. <\/p>\n
46-year-old Clugston, a married father of two, was elected as Medicine Hats mayor in 2013 after serving two terms as a city alderman. <\/p>\n
Clugston is scheduled to appear in court on March 10, 2015. <\/p>\n
