WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Senator Jim DeMint (R-South Carolina), chairman of the Senate Conservatives Fund (SCF), announced the endorsement of Texas Railroad Commissioner Michael Williams for U.S. Senate in Texas. Williams is running to replace Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Texas) who recently announced plans to resign sometime next year.<\/p>

Michael Williams is the fourth candidate to be endorsed by the Senate Conservatives Fund in a 2010 Republican primary. SCF has also endorsed former Congressman Pat Toomey in Pennsylvania, former State Speaker of the House Marco Rubio in Florida and Assemblyman Chuck DeVore in California. <\/p>
