A DISGRACED St Andrews University PhD student has admitted carrying out sex attacks on two women. <\/p>\n
Pasquale Galianni, an award-winning astronomy specialist, who already has a previous conviction for a similar offence, denied the offences but changed his plea during his trial. <\/p>\n
Yesterday at the High Court in Glasgow, Judge Lord Burns deferred sentence but placed him on the Sex Offenders Register. <\/p>\n
Galiannis first victim was a 19-year-old student whom he grabbed, dragged into undergrowth, and attacked during November last year. His second offence occurred when he targeted another woman in April. <\/p>\n
Both incidents happened at the North Haugh university campus. <\/p>\n
The first attack victim said in evidence: He was holding me down and trying to take my tights down. I just remember him saying pretty lady. I thought that he sounded foreign. It wasnt a British accent. <\/p>\n

He was strong and I didnt think Id be able to push him off. I screamed and basically, after Id screamed, he got up and ran away. <\/p>\n
