Police located a missing Liberty County 1-year-old in a hosputal emergency room in Louisiana around 3 a.m. Saturday. <\/p>\n
Colt Williams had beentaken about 6 p.m. Friday from his mother by the child's stepfather, Wayne Ross Maitland. The abduction was part of a domestic dispute between Maitland and his wife, officials said. <\/p>\n
Liberty County sheriff's deputies said Maitland taped his wife's hands together and said she would have to watch him commit suicide. He ran a hose from the tailpipe into the family's car. The child's mother managed to jump out of the car. But her son was still inside as Maitland drove away. <\/p>\n
The car, a 2006 black four-door Infinity, was last seen driving along County Road 622 toward County Road 686. <\/p>\n
The child was dropped off at a hospital emergency room, where staff heard him crying. He was found safe and unharmed, officials said. <\/p>\n
Maitland had fled the hospital and is still being sought by authorities in that area.<\/p>\n
