We come from a very competitive district; one of the toughest around. We had a high-mileage week coming in, said Freedom coach Tyson Graham, whose team had 43 points to edge Brooksville Nature Coast Technical (46). Today, I kind of cut them loose. Weve had a lot of problems in the first half of races, but our 6-7 runners carried it. Our strength is our 4-8 runners. <\/p>\n
The Patriots highest finisher was senior Luke Haara, who placed fourth in 17:46.14. <\/p>\n
Freedom freshman Alejandro Michel placed sixth in 18:06.99. Freedom also had the 10th-12th finishers in Richard Lush (18:25.74), Raymond Urbaniak (18:29.08) and Christian Shaffer (18:34.43). <\/p>\n
Pasco Countys lone team entry, Wesley Chapel, saw sophomore Dominic Moreno place fifth in 17:57.15. <\/p>\n
On the girls side, Wesley Chapel junior Amber Maxwell recorded the best time of any Pasco County runner, placing fourth in 21:01.87. <\/p>\n

Riverview freshman records first victory <\/p>\n
RUSKIN The W.D. Johnson Invitational at E.G. Simmons Park featured a course that was under water after overnight rain, but that didnt stop Riverview freshman Bailey Hertenstein from picking up her first win. <\/p>\n
Brandons Eliana Ochoa led the pack through the first mile, with Hertenstein a few seconds back. With about a 1,000 meters to go, the two were side-by-side, and Hertenstein pulled away to win in 19:10 on a course that was shortened because of the conditions. <\/p>\n
