Workington Comets 41 Berwick Bandits 49: Workington Comets slumped to their first Premier League loss of the season with a disappointing 49-41 defeat at home to Berwick Bandits last night. <\/p>\n

Only Josh Grajczonek and Ricky Wells came away from the meeting with a decent return of points for Workington. <\/p>\n
The highly impressive Grajczonek scored 14 points and Wells amassed 10 points. <\/p>\n
Workingtons reserve pair Chris Mills and Ashley Morris scored only four points between them, while Berwicks reserves picked up a combined 12 points. <\/p>\n
Berwick reserve Steen Jensen was in superb form and was rewarded with 11 points from his six rides. <\/p>\n
Workington team manager Tony Jackson was left to rue his sides lack of consistency this season. <\/p>\n
He said: That was not part of the plan. We are just not consistent. We just never got into this meeting at all. We didnt win enough races. We went away to Newcastle and Glasgow and won and looked really good, but then we lose a match like this. <\/p>\n
There is no consistency. I wish I knew the answer. The team we have put together looks stronger than last year, but its just not happening. We will dust ourselves down, move on and try to do better away at Berwick. <\/p>\n
