Astronomy nights are back at Rush Ranch. <\/p>\n
Astronomy enthusiast, Jim Jerrell, will host the first of 6 scheduled nights of adventure with the skies. on Friday, May 16 at the ranch. The program begins at 7 p.m. with a presentation in the Rush Ranch Nature Center, followed by telescope viewing after dark. <\/p>\n
Telescopes will be on hand, with their owners ready to guide visitors to check out what they are focused on. Personal scopes and binoculars are welcome, but you need to be familiar with the set up of your scope. Bring warm clothing, as it can get chilly after dark, and mosquito repellent. <\/p>\n
Children are welcome. To protect viewers night vision, flashlights should be covered with red cellophane, and late comers are asked to dim their headlights. <\/p>\n
Additional nights scheduled for programs are Fri. June 17, Sat. July 26, Fri. Aug. 22, Sat. Sept. 27, and Fri. Oct. 24. All programs begin at 7 p.m. <\/p>\n
