Republican David Jolly won last month's election with 48.4 percent of the vote, defeating Democrat Alex Sink, who received 46.5 percent. The special election was held in Congressional District 13 after the death of longtime Republican U.S. Rep. C.W. Bill Young. <\/p>\n
In a prepared statement, Overby thanked his supporters and his family, and said, \"This is far from my last fight and this is not the last time my name will appear on a ballot.\" <\/p>\n
