LUDINGTON Northern Michigan Christian shot a 278 to take second in a three-team match against Manistee and Mason County Eastern Tuesday at Lakeside Links Golf Course. <\/p>\n
\"I was really proud of the boys for withstanding the 20 mph-plus winds right off Lake Michigan in the 40 degree weather,\" NMC coach Dave Skinner said. \"It was brutal and every kid from No. 1 to No. 6 made it all the way through and never complained once. <\/p>\n
\"Our kids got a lot of useful tips from Manistee's golfers today. They finished 12th at the Division 3 state finals last year so it was a great for the kids to play with them and provide a valuable learning experience.\" <\/p>\n
Tim Embertson and Jack Simons paced the Comets with 66s. <\/p>\n
NMC is at Manton with Frankfort on Thursday. <\/p>\n
