What is Pharmacogenomics? <\/p>\n
Why do people vary in their responses to prescribed medications, both with respect to how well the drug works and in their adverse reactions to it? The answer may lie in our genes. Scientists, doctors, and the pharmaceutical industry are working to customize medical treatments to suit our genetic signatures. The study of how our genetic variations interface with disease risk and responses to drugs is called pharmacogenomics. <\/p>\n
