Transformation and    Hope,the Annual Spirituality Convocation, sponsored by the    Center for Ministry and Spirituality at the College of Saint    Elizabeth, 2 Convent Road, offers a day of spiritual discussion    and reflection facilitated by scholars in a variety of topics,    including theology, philosophy, education, ministry, and    meditation.  <\/p>\n<p>    The event, which takes place in    the colleges Annunciation Center on Saturday, April 5 features    morning and afternoon keynote addresses, Morning Prayer, a    choice of two out of 11 workshops, and concludes with Mass in    Holy Family Chapel. Jan Michael Joncas, theologian, author, and    composer\/arranger of On Eagles Wings, will deliver the    morning keynote address, Through the Valley of Death:    Suffering, Hope and Transformation. Joncas,    artist-in-residence and fellow of the Center for Catholic    Studies at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn.,    will share his personal experiences in the stages of suffering    through a neurological disorder, Guillain-Barre Syndrome, and    will discuss effects on his spiritual life and his    encounter with the God of rescue.  <\/p>\n<p>    Joncas will be the celebrant for the Convocations concluding    Mass.  <\/p>\n<p>    The Rev. Terry Hershey, inspirational speaker, humorist,    author, father, and Protestant minister, will give the    afternoon keynote address Shall We Dance? in which he invites    the audience to put aside their fears of fitting into a    society-created box and dance as if nobody is watching.
