It's like <a href=\"http:\/\/gizmodo.com\/tag\/ces2010\">CES<\/a>, sort of, except further away, and more boring. We decided not to go this year; it ends tomorrow. Here's what we missed!<\/p><p>To be clear, these were some of the <em>bigger<\/em> stories of the conference, at least for American audiences. We've written a few other CeBIT stories up as well, which you can find <a href=\"http:\/\/gizmodo.com\/tag\/cebit\">here<\/a>, but by and large, the event just sort of came and went. So, this is what was happening over in Hanover this week, while the rest of the tech world was going about their business.<\/p><p><a rel=\"lytebox\" href=\"http:\/\/cache.gawkerassets.com\/assets\/images\/4\/2010\/03\/pierrecardingal01.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/euvolution.com\/futurist-transhuman-news-blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-o-matic\/cache\/c4ac6_500x_pierrecardingal01.jpg\" class=\"left image500\" width=\"500\" style=\"padding-left:10px; padding-right: 10px;\"><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.engadget.com\/2010\/03\/03\/pierre-cardin-tablets-wont-keep-your-pants-up\/\">Pierre Cardin Tablet<\/a>: Wikipedia tells me that Pierre Cardin is a \"Italian-born French fashion designer\" who is famous for his \"space age\" clothing designs. He's paired up with a small Taiwanese OEM to make a tablet&mdash;the old foldy kind, not the slate-like new kind. It's pink, and it will cost $450, if it ever hits stores in the US.<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/euvolution.com\/futurist-transhuman-news-blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-o-matic\/cache\/c4ac6_340x_asus_eeetop_et2010ag.jpg\" class=\"left image340\" width=\"340\" style=\"padding-left:10px; padding-right: 10px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.slashgear.com\/asus-eeetop-et2010pnt-and-et2010agt-spotted-0476717\/\">ASUS EeeTop ET2010PNT and ET2010AGT<\/a> On the exterior, ASUS EeeTops are basically a budget take on the AIO concept you're familiar with from the likes of the iMac and HP's Touchsmarts. On the interior, as with most ASUS products, they're incomprehensible parts soup.<\/p><p><a rel=\"lytebox\" href=\"http:\/\/cache.gawkerassets.com\/assets\/images\/4\/2010\/03\/shuttleipower.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/euvolution.com\/futurist-transhuman-news-blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-o-matic\/cache\/c4ac6_500x_shuttleipower.jpg\" class=\"left image500\" width=\"500\" style=\"padding-left:10px; padding-right: 10px;\"><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.slashgear.com\/shuttle-i-power-gxt-mini-external-gpu-gets-video-demo-0476667\/\">Shuttle I-Power External GPU<\/a>: Breaking news, for people who would like to buy a box that's nearly the size of a netbook and which can help boost their notebook's graphics capabilities! (But only certain notebooks, because you need a special adapter!) Now that you've done that, the second step is to figure out why you care about this cheaper, gaudier, and somehow less practical take on the same concept.<\/p><p><a rel=\"lytebox\" href=\"http:\/\/cache.gawkerassets.com\/assets\/images\/4\/2010\/03\/atomssss.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/euvolution.com\/futurist-transhuman-news-blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-o-matic\/cache\/9deae_500x_atomssss.jpg\" class=\"left image500\" width=\"500\" style=\"padding-left:10px; padding-right: 10px;\"><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.eweek.com\/c\/a\/Data-Storage\/Intel-Brings-Atom-to-Storage-Devices-617329\/\">Intel Atom for Storage Devices<\/a>: Intel's Atom processors, traditionally meant for netbooks and cheap laptops, are about as unglamorous as tech products get. I'd even hold that this was true five minutes ago, which was <em>before<\/em> I'd even heard about the <a title=\"Click here to read more posts tagged #intelatom\" href=\"http:\/\/gizmodo.com\/tag\/intelatom\/\">Intel Atom<\/a> for <em>storage devices<\/em>, which is a special version of the platform for household and small business network storage devices.<\/p><p><!-- videoId: 8NCiPe-UzD0 --><!-- \/videoId: 8NCiPe-UzD0 --><a href=\"http:\/\/education.zdnet.com\/?p=3693\">New Intel Classmate<\/a>: Intel's ultra-budget Classmate convertible tablet PCs are evolving! (Slightly!) Here is the reference design for the newest one, which is quite similar to <a href=\"http:\/\/gizmodo.com\/5114777\/hands-on-with-the-intel-convertible-classmate\">earlier reference designs<\/a> on the outside, but adjusted slightly for cost and performance reason on the inside.<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/euvolution.com\/futurist-transhuman-news-blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-o-matic\/cache\/9deae_500x_lg_bh12ls_bd_writer.jpg\" class=\"left image500\" width=\"500\" style=\"padding-left:10px; padding-right: 10px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cdrlabs.com\/News\/lg-unveils-12x-blu-ray-disc-writers-at-cebit.html\">LG 12x Blu-ray drives<\/a>: Did LG not have 12x Blu-ray writers before? Are these just new versions of their old Blu-ray devices?
