CHICAGO, Ill. The Utica Comets were on the receiving end of a 4-2 setback to the Chicago Wolves on Tuesday afternoon in American Hockey League action. <\/p>\n
Ty Rattie led the way for the Chicago Wolves with three points (1-2-3), while Alexandre Boduc (0-2-2) and Keith Aucoin (0-2-2) picked up two points each. Benn Ferriero and Nicklas Jensen scored the Comets goals. <\/p>\n
The Wolves struck first 10:17 into the first period when a Comets turnover in the Wolves zone caught Utica in the middle of a line change and led to a 2-on-1 rush. Keith Aucoin slid a pass past Alex Biega to Rattie who fired the games first goal into an empty net. <\/p>\n
A hustle play by Bolduc would give the Wolves a 2-0 advantage with 2:55 to play in the first period. A quick pass from Bolduc to the slot found Chris Porter all alone, who beat Utica goaltender Joacim Eriksson and into the net. <\/p>\n
The Comets would get on the scoreboard in the second period when Ferriero fired a wrist shot past Chicago goalie Jake Allen with an assist from Patrick Mullen. <\/p>\n
The Comets tied the score six minutes later as Grenier put on a shot on goal and the rebound created a scramble in front of the net. <\/p>\n
Nicklas Jensen dug the puck out, spun and fired a shot past Allen to knot the score. <\/p>\n
The Wolves would pull the game out of reach when Chris Porter and Adam Cracknell scored back-to-back goals in the third period. <\/p>\n
Eriksson stopped 31 of the Wolves 35 shots to take the loss in net, while Allen made 30 saves. <\/p>\n
The Comets return to action tonight when they take on the host Iowa Wild at 8:05. <\/p>\n
