With injuries, trades and call-ups to the parent Blues, it's difficult for Wolves coach John Anderson to assemble consistent lines for multiple games, no matter how well a particular unit is playing. <\/p>\n
So for now, the Wolves will have to be content to keep Chris Porter, Alexandre Bolduc and Ty Rattie together for as long as possible. <\/p>\n
The trio combined for three goals and seven points in the Wolves 4-2 victory over the Utica Comets in a Tuesday matinee at Allstate Arena. The Wolves (26-16-2-2) improved to 10-0-1-0 in their last 11 home games. <\/p>\n
Porter scored twice including the game-winning goal on the power play midway through the final period and Rattie had a goal and two assists. Bolduc added two assists. <\/p>\n
\"We're just all playing the same way,\" Porter said of the line's success. \"There's a lot of talk on the bench, sorting things out before we get on the ice.\" <\/p>\n
Porter's second goal snapped an 0-for-14 streak on the power play. Adam Cracknell, making his home debut since the Blues reassigned him Jan. 23, added another power-play goal with three minutes left to seal the victory. <\/p>\n
The goals helped erase the disappointment of blowing a 2-0 lead after the first period. <\/p>\n
The Comets, whose parent Canucks partnered with the Wolves for the past two seasons, rallied to tie it in the second with a power-play goal from Benn Ferriero and an even-strength one from former Wolves forward Nicklas Jensen. <\/p>\n
