{"id":1063461,"date":"2013-03-31T03:04:46","date_gmt":"2013-03-31T07:04:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.longevitymedicine.tv\/more-about-funding-for-personalized-medicine-research\/"},"modified":"2024-08-17T20:29:42","modified_gmt":"2024-08-18T00:29:42","slug":"more-about-funding-for-personalized-medicine-research","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.euvolution.com\/futurist-transhuman-news-blog\/stem-cell-therapy\/more-about-funding-for-personalized-medicine-research.php","title":{"rendered":"More about Funding for Personalized Medicine Research"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A post entitled <a title=\"Funding for Personalized Medicine Research\" href=\"http:\/\/cancerstemcellnews.blogspot.ca\/2012\/01\/funding-for-personalized-medicine.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Funding for Personalized Medicine Research<\/a>, dated January 31, 2012, provided information about the participation of the <a title=\"Cancer Stem Cell Consortium\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cancerstemcellconsortium.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cancer Stem Cell Consortium<\/a> (CSCC) in the <a title=\"Large-Scale Applied Research Project Competition\" href=\"http:\/\/www.genomecanada.ca\/en\/portfolio\/research\/2012-competition.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Large-Scale Applied Research Project Competition<\/a> of <a title=\"Genome Canada\" href=\"http:\/\/www.genomecanada.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Genome Canada<\/a>, in collaboration with the first phase of the <a title=\"Personalized Medicine Signature Initiative\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cihr-irsc.gc.ca\/e\/44601.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Personalized Medicine Signature Initiative<\/a> of the <a title=\"Canadian Institutes of Health Research\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cihr-irsc.gc.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Canadian Institutes of Health Research<\/a> (CIHR).<\/p>\n<p>On March 26, 2013, it was <a title=\"announced\" href=\"http:\/\/www.genomecanada.ca\/en\/about\/news.aspx?i=427\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced<\/a> that 17 projects will be supported. A list of these project is available (<a title=\"PDF\" href=\"http:\/\/www.genomecanada.ca\/data\/Nouvelles\/Fichiers\/en\/427_1_Backgrounder%20-%20english.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PDF<\/a>). One of the 17 projects is entitled \"<em>Innovative chemogenomic tools to improve outcome in acute myeloid leukemia<\/em>\". The Project leader is <a title=\"Guy Sauvageau\" href=\"http:\/\/www.iric.ca\/en\/research\/principal-investigators\/guy-sauvageau\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Guy Sauvageau<\/a> of the Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer (IRIC) at the Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al. The Project co-leader is <a title=\"Jos\u00e9e H\u00e9bert\" href=\"http:\/\/recherche.maisonneuve-rosemont.org\/en-ca\/research\/our-research-investigators\/hebert-josee.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jos\u00e9e H\u00e9bert<\/a> of the Centre de Recherche H\u00f4pital Maisonneuve-Rosemont, Montr\u00e9al.
