An eighth-grader from Oconomowoc won a statewide chemistry competition and received an expenses-paid trip to compete at the national level. <\/p>\n
Ryan Swanson, a student at Nature Hill Intermediate School, bested 25 fifth- to eighth-grade students to become the 2017 Wisconsin You Be The Chemist State Challenge Champion. Students from around the state came together at the University of Wisconsin-Madison to compete for the top prize. Swanson will represent Wisconsin at the National You Be The Chemist Challengein Washington, D.C. in June. <\/p>\n
