At today's Television Critics Association Q&A session, Showtime President David Nevins announced that Homeland<\/em> Season 3<\/a> will premiere on Sunday, June 30.<\/p>

He also took a few moments to address concerns regarding Homeland<\/em> Season 2<\/a>, sticking up for the award-winning drama.<\/p>

\"Carrie's<\/a><\/p>

“I think it started really strong and it ended really strong,\" Nevis said. \"Some of the criticism seems fair. [But] suspension of disbelief is the scaffolding all storytelling is based on. I have enormous confidence in the people that write and perform that show [and believe] that it will maintain its quality.”<\/p>

Many viewers believed events became too far-fetched on Season 2, specifically citing Abu Nazir crashing into Carrie and then kidnapping the CIA agent.<\/p>

As for the future of Damian Lewis, considering Brody is now a wanted man on the run?<\/p>

“Everything on that show is vigorously debated,\" Nevins said, adding of the possibility that Lewis would be written off: \"If at the end of that debate, it made sense storywise, I could conceivably say yes.”<\/p>
