{"id":1044890,"date":"2012-10-21T07:45:19","date_gmt":"2012-10-21T07:45:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.immortalitymedicine.tv\/anatomy\/private-practice-to-end-after-season-6.php"},"modified":"2024-08-17T17:17:25","modified_gmt":"2024-08-17T21:17:25","slug":"private-practice-to-end-after-season-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.euvolution.com\/futurist-transhuman-news-blog\/anatomy\/private-practice-to-end-after-season-6.php","title":{"rendered":"Private Practice to End After Season 6"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We've been asking for weeks whether <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tvfanatic.com\/polls\/should-private-practice-continue-without-kate-walsh\/\">it should end<\/a>, and now we have the answer:<\/p><p><em>Private Practice<\/em> will check out of ABC following this season.<\/p><p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tvfanatic.com\/gallery\/private-practice-cast-pic\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.immortalitymedicine.tv\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-o-matic\/cache\/ba0e4_private-practice-cast-pic_548x411.jpg\" width=\"548\" alt=\"Private Practice Cast Pic\" height=\"411\" style=\"padding-left:10px; padding-right: 10px;\"><\/a><\/p><p>Creator Shonda Rhimes broke the news yesterday, which followed Kate Walsh's previous announced that Season 6 would be her last as Addison Montgomery.<\/p><p>\"I&rsquo;m sad to say that Private Practice&lsquo;s run will end after episode 613 this season,\" <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shondaland.com\/photos\/237774\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rhimes wrote<\/a> on her website. \"There was a lot of discussion and debate but, in the end, the guys at the network and the studio and I all decided that Private Practice was reaching its finish line. Creatively, we are all extremely proud of the show and especially proud of this season &mdash; which you will all soon discover is a creative renaissance. I can&rsquo;t wait for you to see it. It&rsquo;s heartbreaking to end.<\/p><p>\"Truly. I feel so lucky to write for these characters and tell these stories and I truly feel this show has taught me so much as a writer. And there&rsquo;s a family here, of crew and cast, people who have bonded over these past five-and-a-half seasons. It&rsquo;s rare for a show to go for more than 100 episodes and we are incredibly proud to have been such a show. And we&rsquo;re grateful to all of you for spending time with us for an hour every week for the last six years. It&rsquo;s meant the world.\"<\/p><p><em>Private Practice<\/em> recently celebrated its 100th episode.
