Experience: I worked in the drop-in tutoring center during community college tutoring all math through Calc I, English\/Writing, and Speech\/Communications. I also worked at a Kumon Math and Reading center with students as young as kindergarten and have worked as a freelance tutor for math, general study skills\/all subjects with clients ranging from Junior High School students in need of remedial help to older adult graduate students returning to math or stats after many years. I have worked with students from public, private, and homeschool backgrounds successfully and make sure to keep parents \"in the loop\" as full partners invested in the student's learning. I have also taught 4-H dog training classes before – nothing phases me after fifteen 8-16 year old 4-H members with their completely untrained dogs show up on the first night! Training dogs and teaching kids to train them has taught me a great deal about how we learn and how to motivate learning.<\/span><\/p>
