padding-right: 10px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.immortalitymedicine.tv\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-o-matic\/cache\/1d106_jurich-todd.jpg\" alt=\"jurich-todd\" width=\"120\" height=\"151\"><\/a>Award-winning chef, Todd Jurich of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.toddjurichsbistro.com\/index2.html\">Todd Jurich's Bistro<\/a> in downtown Norfolk has teamed up with Eastern Virginia Medical School's <a href=\"http:\/\/www.evms.edu\/evms-dept.-of-internal-medicine\/endocrinology-diabetes.html\">Strelitz Diabetes Center<\/a> to teach people how to cook a healthy, tasty meal for loved ones living with diabetes.<\/p><p>Jurich opened his kitchen to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wvec.com\/news\/local\/Norfolk-restaurant-partners-with-Strelitz-Center-for-diabetes-awareness-106479698.html\">WVEC 13 News<\/a> (click photo to view the video) to demonstrate how to prepare an original meal &mdash; a <a title=\"pumpkin and crab soup\" href=\"http:\/\/www.evms.edu\/images\/stories\/diabetes\/recipe-pumpkin-crab-soup.pdf\">pumpkin and crab soup<\/a> followed by <a title=\"cauliflower couscous with smoked raisins and sundried cranberries served with pepper seared coho salmon\" href=\"http:\/\/www.evms.edu\/images\/stories\/diabetes\/recipe-salmon.pdf\">cauliflower couscous with smoked raisins and sundried cranberries served with pepper seared coho salmon<\/a>. <\/p><p>\"November is Diabetes Awareness Month, and diet is such an important part of preventing and managing diabetes,\" Mr. Jurich says. \"Like many families, mine has been impacted by diabetes, and I wanted to find a way that I could help address this issue.\"<\/p><p>Mr. Jurich worked with Phyllis Woodson, MS, registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator at the center, to develop the meal as well as several diabetes-friendly items that will debut on the bistro's menu in November.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Award-winning chef, Todd Jurich of Todd Jurich's Bistro in downtown Norfolk has teamed up with Eastern Virginia Medical School's Strelitz Diabetes Center to teach people how to cook a healthy, tasty meal for loved ones living with diabetes.Jurich opened his &hellip;
