Astronaut visits Marshall Space Flight Center <\/p>\n
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAAY) - Chris Cassidy, an astronaut on Expedition 36 to the International Space Station, visited Marshall Space Flight Center Wednesday. <\/p>\n
Cassidy toured Marshall and spoke with workers there about the 166 days he spent aboard the space station. Cassidy returned to Earth in September 2013. <\/p>\n
Cassidy was part of the first expedited trip in the space station's 12-year history. The Soyuz spacecraft he was on docked at the station in six hours instead of the usual two days. <\/p>\n
Cassidy also went to the International Space Station in 2009 on the STS-127 mission. <\/p>\n
