We got up Wednesday to sunshine and decided to spend a day outside. Alex took me to an area of london that she use to love and went in search of her favorite hang out. We found it unchanged and just as aclectic as always. Troubadour. A dark entrance with an ornately carved wooden door. I would have walked right past it luckly Alex knew what we were looking for I of course loved the door

Lima
On my way to Lima I stopped by the Nazca lines. Sadly you have to hire an airplane to get a better view of the figures but you can still see the lines from a hill. Then I continued to Lima. As usual I almost died like 10 times on my way to Lima because of the craziness of the Peruvian drivers. Having said that the highway was nothing compared with the absolute traffic caos in Lima. They explain

Art in Sydney
Hello allJust when you thought you were havung a rest from me here I am again. It was time to leave my new friends Colleen and Peter so big hugs all round and hope to see them in the UK next year.I had a very good drive from Albany to Perth last Wednesday an easy 450 km ...and for the first 200 km I probably only saw 10 cars if that... and it is a good road with passing lanes at intervals which i
Whew
Boy are we pooped Yesterday Saturday we walked the Great Wall so cool The traffic around here does not sit well with my high strung personality. I squealed several times while Steve cracked up. As we were in the car line to go into the Great Wall cars were coming in our direction right in front of us no lines for the cars to follow and they don't stay on the left when they are comin
CCTV Park
We went on a class trip to the CCTV Park on the outskirts of Weihai. Since I've been to most of the theme parks in Orlando this park seems well to put it nicely run down but the kids had a blast and that's what counts. So if you are going with the kids by all means spend the 30 yuan it costs to get in.I was however a little confused on the theme. They had fairy tale statues SouthwestAme
The Red Star Cafe
Another trip downtown to pick up another batch of altered bottoms...I bought another blanket because it's getting colder and let's face it we spent the last four years in Florida...enough said am I right We stopped in at a Korean restuant and they were kind enough to make some vegetarian kimbob and pan fried tofu with no MSG. Both were very good. I'd go back there anytime to get out of the c

First one that we havent loved. Had a very early night

Camp Mendocino
For our second to last week of training the entire Blue Unit went up to a summer camp near the Redwood Forrests run by the Boys and Girls Club for team building and practice for projects. Christchurch
Friday 28th OctoberFriday morning involved a short drive down the East Coast from Kaikoura to Christchurch. Unfortunately it was a rather painful experience as Han had the most almighty hangover. Thursday night was spent at The Whaler pub in Kaikoura where we thought we'd try our luck in yet another quiz. After round 1 we had 100 percent correct but the topic for round 2 was horses so we

Reading that it was Perus second

Valpariso and Via
Valparaiso y Via del MarHolaHappy and healthy and Valparaiso continues to treat me well. Befriended a bunch of people in the hostel once i stopped going to sleep while it was still light. There was a Belgian couple a couple of French girls a German or two a Scottish guy a Swiss guy a slightly unhinged Northern English guy and a couple of younger English guys. Pretty solid mix i thought.
