LIMA, Ohio Liberty-Bentons run at a Division V state football championship came to a halt Saturday night at Spartan Stadium.

Defending Division V state champion Coldwater proved to be the season-ending roadblock for the Eagles.

The Cavaliers scored 28 unanswered points to win 28-7 during a regional final in which Liberty-Benton possessed the football twice as long and ran nearly twice as many plays.

Liberty-Bentons opening drive consisted of 19 plays for 80 yards and chewed up more than 10 minutes of the opening quarter.
